Karen and Suzannah are teaching the Office Action Workshop for biotech and chemical based inventions at the AIPLA Patent Prosecution Boot Camp in Denver, CO, February 7-9, 2018. The Office Action workshop is from 1:30-5:30 PM on February 8, 2018. For more information and to register, click here. Looking forward to seeing you in Denver!
Canady + Lortz LLP is proudly sponsoring the Young Women in Bio (YWIB) section of Women in Bio at the 5th USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo in Washington, DC on April 7-8, 2018.
YWIB is a special initiative designed to introduce middle and high school-age girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Last year, YWIB demonstrated the phenomenon of fluorescence and its applications in biotech. They explained fluorescence using the visible light spectrum and an array of fluorescent nanoparticles called semi-conductor quantum dots. Participants saw how fluorescent markers are used to detect certain components of a cell.
Show your support for young women in science and technology by stopping by the YWIB booth and seeing the scientific principles they will showcase this year.
Suzannah was a speaker at the Young Women in Bio’s Spring into STEM event on April 28th and was honored to receive a Trailblazer Award from YWIB.

Canady + Lortz LLP was a proud sponsor of the event.
Larry will be at BIO in San Francisco. Contact Larry if you want to meet up with him.
For the first time in over a decade, I will not be going to the BIO Conference… just too busy in 101 land.
Safe travels to those going to BIO!

Canady + Lortz LLP is proudly sponsoring the Young Women in Bio (YWIB) section of Women in Bio at the 4th USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo in Washington, DC on April 16-17, 2016.
YWIB is a special initiative designed to introduce middle and high school-age girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
At the Expo, YWIB will demonstrate the phenomenon of fluorescence and its applications in biotech. They will explain fluorescence using the visible light spectrum and an array of fluorescent nanoparticles called semi-conductor quantum dots. Participants will have the opportunity to see how fluorescent markers are used to detect certain components of a cell. Participants will be able to observe fixed slides containing animal cells labeled with different fluorescent markers.
Visit the YWIB booth at the Expo and show your support for young women in science and technology.
